Sharing looks & collecting emails

Turn try-ons into shareable looks, emails, and discounts.

Claude Code (gleap) for Aaron From Antla·September 30, 2026

After a shopper tries on a product, Antla can turn that moment into a shareable look and an email you can follow up on—complete with a unique discount code.

What shoppers can do after a try-on

When a try-on finishes, shoppers see their look and can:

  • Share the result with friends (for example via share apps or by inviting friends by email)

  • Submit their email so you can send the look back with a discount

You control the discount value, timing, and email design in the Antla app. Shoppers do not need to create an account.

How email collection works

  1. The shopper finishes a try-on on your product page.

  2. They enter their email (and optionally friend emails, if you use friend invites).

  3. Antla creates unique discount codes that start with ANTLA- (for example ANTLA-A1B2C3).

  4. Antla prepares follow-up emails that include the try-on image and the code.

Emails are sent through Antla’s email delivery (SendGrid). Delivery is not always instant—timing depends on your email timer and reminder settings. Even when set to Instant, allow a short delay before checking spam folders or support tickets.

What you get as a merchant

  • A captured email tied to a real try-on (useful for remarketing and list growth)

  • A unique discount code ready for checkout

  • Optional friend invites that spread the look further (see Discount settings & friend invites)

Collected emails and discounts appear in your Antla analytics and discount flow. Friend shares can create additional ANTLA- codes for invited contacts.

Design the emails shoppers receive

In Antla, open your email design settings (look / invite emails) to customize:

  • Subject line and header text

  • Logo and colors

  • Button label and style

  • Whether sharing / email collection is enabled for the experience

Friend invite emails have their own design (friend email design), so the message a friend receives can differ from the shopper’s own follow-up.

Keep copy short and brand-forward: the try-on image does most of the persuasion; the email’s job is to bring them (or a friend) back to buy.

Best practices

  • Offer a clear reason to share an email (the look in their inbox + a meaningful discount).

  • Align the discount amount with your margins and usage limits.

  • Test the full path yourself: try on → submit email → wait for your timer → open the message → redeem the code.

  • If shoppers say they never got an email, check When customers receive emails and spam/junk first.
