Antla supports virtual try-on inside your Tapcart mobile app via a custom block. Shoppers get a try-on experience similar to the Shopify theme. Setup lives in Tapcart Studio, not the theme app embed, and not on Antla’s Integrations page.
Theme app embed | Tapcart custom block | |
|---|---|---|
Surface | Online store (desktop / mobile web) | Native Tapcart app |
Where you enable it | Shopify theme editor → App embeds | Tapcart Studio → custom block |
UI configuration | Antla On Site Design | Block settings in Tapcart (+ Antla design parity where mapped) |
Same Funnel / credits? | Yes | Yes |
You can run both: web via the theme embed, and app via Tapcart. Funnels, products, and credits are shared at the shop level. Headless SDK and Headless API are separate surfaces. See Choose where Try On appears.
Antla installed on your Shopify store with onboarding complete.
At least one Funnel with products shoppers should be able to try on.
Available try-on credits.
A Tapcart app connected to the same Shopify store.
Access to Tapcart Studio to add and configure blocks.
Open Tapcart Studio for your app.
Edit the screen where shoppers browse or view products (typically a product detail screen).
Add the Antla custom block (virtual try-on / modal block).
Place the block where you want the Try On call to action to appear.
Save and publish the Tapcart app layout.
Exact menu labels can vary by Tapcart Studio version; look for Antla or Virtual Try-On under custom blocks.
In the block settings you can typically adjust:
Promotional text above the button
Try On button label, colors, and border radius
Default status / validation copy shown during upload
Point the block at your live Antla shop. For production, use your Antla app API base URL as provided by Antla (or leave the default shipped with the block). Development-only base URLs are for testing and should not ship to customers.
On Site Design settings from Antla still inform much of the modal experience (messaging, consent, and related copy) so web and app stay aligned where possible.
Once published, the Tapcart flow mirrors the storefront:
Shopper opens a product that belongs to a Funnel.
They tap Try On in the Antla block.
They upload or capture a photo.
Antla generates the look and shows the result in the modal.
Optional email, share, discount, and more-looks consent follow your Antla settings.
If the button does not appear for a product, confirm the product is in an active Funnel and that the shop has credits—same rules as the theme.
A product in a Funnel shows Try On in the Tapcart app
Generation completes on a test photo
Credits decrement as expected
Consent / email prompts match your On Site Design intent
Theme embed still works on the online store (if you use both)
