The Try On button appears on Online Store product pages only when Antla’s theme app embed is enabled, the product belongs to a Funnel, and your shop has credits. This article is for a standard Shopify theme.
If you sell on Hydrogen, a custom storefront, or Tapcart, the theme embed is not the control you need. See Choose where Try On appears.
Antla installs a theme extension with:
antla-outfit-block — the main app embed that powers Try On on product pages (enable this; it is the core experience)
antla-draggable-block — an optional block you can place if you want a draggable Try On control in the theme editor
Most merchants only need the app embed (antla-outfit-block) turned on for their live theme. Design, copy, and behavior are controlled from On Site Design in the Antla admin—not from Liquid pop-up settings in the theme code.
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
On your current theme, click Customize.
In the theme editor, open the App embeds panel (often via the nested sidebar or theme settings area for embeds).
Find Antla / the Antla outfit embed (antla-outfit-block).
Toggle the Antla app embed On.
Click Save in the theme editor.
Exit the editor and open your storefront (or use preview) on a Funnel product.
Changes apply to the theme you edited. If you use a staging theme, enable the embed there for testing, then on the live theme before launch.
If you want an additional Try On control you can position in the theme editor:
Still in Customize, open a product template.
Add the Antla draggable block (antla-draggable-block) where you want it.
Save the theme.
This is optional. The primary Try On experience is driven by the app embed.
The Try On button appears only when all of the following are true:
Product is in a Funnel — Antla tags products in Funnels (for example antla_in_funnel_{id}) so the storefront knows they are eligible.
Shop has credits — Antla uses a store signal (antla_has_requests) so the button stays hidden when credits are exhausted.
Theme embed is enabled — antla-outfit-block is on for the theme customers actually see.
If any one is missing, shoppers will not see Try On on that product.
Check | Where to look |
|---|---|
Embed on? | Theme editor → App embeds |
Product in Funnel? | Antla → Funnels → product list |
Credits available? | Antla billing / credits balance |
Correct theme? | Live theme vs unpublished preview |
Button style, modal look, and related on-site options live in Antla’s On Site Design settings (admin / extension settings). Update branding there so you do not depend on theme Liquid pop-up settings.
Next: Customize On Site Design.
Open a product that is in your Funnel.
Confirm Try On is visible.
Complete one upload → generate → result cycle.
If generation works but the button was missing earlier, the embed was likely the gap. If the button still does not show after enabling the embed, revisit Funnel membership and credits—see Add products: manual vs automated rules and your credits balance in the app.
